Artifacts Seized in Gilan Province

TEHRAN -- Some 70 artifacts dating back to the Sassanid and early Islamic eras have been seized in the city of Roudsar, Gilan Province.

The director of the Gilan Information Center, Khodadad Qanbarzadeh, announced that the ancient relics were found in a villager's house.

He said that the confiscated artifacts included pieces of jewelry, earthenware and military equipment, but gave no further details.
