142 Ancient Coins Discovered in Hamedan Province
TEHRAN -- An expert from Malayer's Cultural Heritage Office announced on Tuesday that 142 ancient coins have been discovered in Malayer, Hamedan Province.

He added that the coins are made of copper and date back to the Safavid era and that experts believe that they were minted in Isfahan and Kashan.

The copper coins were discovered in a pot that was excavated during road construction near Karkan on the outskirts of Malayer District.
