LONDON, (CAIS) -- The exhibition on seven thousand - year of Iran’s art and history representing the cultural evolution and development in the context of the Iranian art and civilization is opening to public on sept_12 at Saintpeter’s Abbey museum in Belgium, reported information unit of Iran’s cultural heritage organization. 178 unique precious clay, stone, metal, porcelain objects dating back to 7 millennium BCE up to the end of 10th century CE are to be displayed at the exhibition
The
mobile exhibition on seven thousand year of Iran’s
art and history actually was acting as cultural
ambassador of Iran in several European countries like
Austria, Italy and German. The exhibition was warmly
welcomed by different walks of visitors. The exhibition
will be open to public in Belgium by January 2002. Last
time the exhibition was held for 9
months in Germany Federal Art Gallery in Bonn and on average 2500 visitors paid
visit which as the officials in the gallery admitted, such huge numbers of
visitors had been unprecedented, said Mohammad Reza Karegar, the director of
Iran’s national museum. It
is noteworthy that concurrent with the exhibition two other exhibition on
Turkish and American arts were on display in other galleries which were entirely
overshadowed by Iranian
art and history and uniqueness of the displayed objects. It is very likely that Switzerland and Spain will be the next hosts of the exhibition on Iran’s seven thousand- year of art and history. |
