Gulf Museum Will Be Built

Persian
Gulf great museum will be built along with 9 other museums in a
single plan by the Iranian cultural heritage & tourism
organization.
“The plan is to build 10 large museums in 10 different regions
in Iran, and each of them will contain all cultural features of
its respective region. Persian Gulf great museum will probably
be the first among these to be built”, said Hossein Mar’ashi,
Iranian CHTO president.
In reply to CHN’s question if this museum is a reaction
against National Geographic’s measure about the Persian Gulf,
Mar’ahsi said, “That false claim does not deserve a
response. The only civilization on the bank of the Persian Gulf
has been Iran since ancient times, and that’s why it is called
by this name. We will proclaim, by showing the archaeological finds and ethnological changes through history in the great
museum of the Persian Gulf, that it belongs to the great Iranian
civilization.”
According to Ardeshir Mohammadi, Boushehr CHTO branch director,
Boushehr governor general has allocated a piece of land of about
20 hectares for the gulf museum to be built by CHTO.
The land comprises a part of the 500-hectare land specified for
Lian tourist park.
