Experts of the Research Center for Historical Sites and Structures are preparing documents to register a series of Iranian gardens on the UNESCO World Heritage List, the Persian service of CHN reported on Saturday.

The advisor of the director of the Research Center of the Cultural Heritage and Tourism Organization (CHTO) said that a team of experts is compiling the documents.

Adel Farhangi added that the team is working on the documents of several gardens including Fin Garden in Kashan, Shazdeh in Mahan, Fat’habad in Kerman, and Dolatabad in Yazd.

According to Farhangi, the documents are not going to be registered on the List of Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity like Noruz.

At the first seminar on Iranian gardens last year, the decision was made to begin a detailed program to register Iranian gardens, he explained.

According to the experts, a complete study of the architectural styles of each garden is necessary in order to prepare the documents.
