A
team of experts will later begin research based on those borders,
Mohammad-Hassan Mohebali added. “This
will help to accurately document the limits of the empire and identify the
historical monuments belonging to the ancient Iranian civilization in
neighboring countries,” he explained.
Mohebali
said that the research project requires the cooperation of neighboring
countries and Iranian officials.
Iranian
culture, civilization, and history are still evident in the former
provinces, and today newly created countries of Tajikistan,
Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan,
Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Pakistan, and the Arran
(Azerbaijan) Republic.
Establishing
academic ties and signing agreements with countries are some of the duties
of the CHTO, which also plans to sign joint research, renovation, and
tourism memoranda of understanding with other Middle Eastern countries,
Mohebali added.
The
organization recently signed agreements with Tajikistan, Afghanistan,
Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan
.
“The
MOUs will help prepare the ground for the research work and renovation of
historical monuments,” he said in conclusion.
