(CHN)--
For the first time Iran will provide a databank including
the list of Cultural Heritage and Tourism experts of the
countries in the Asia-Pacific region. With the most
complete encyclopaedia in this field, Iran will be an
important information center in the field of cultural
heritage.
“In the 12th assembly of the Asia-Pacific Tourism
Training Committee held in the current month in Vietnam,
under the supervision of the United Nations, Iran’s
proposal for providing a databank of the experts in the
field of cultural heritage and tourism was welcomed by the
attendants,” says Morteza Ahmadi, manager of the Iranian
Educational Planning Office.
“Following the performance of the project, the member
countries in the network can refer to this databank in
cases of emergency, and find the appropriate experts in
this respect for the use of his or her knowledge and
experience,” added Ahmadi.
According to Ahmadi, such a databank will facilitate
countries access to the cultural heritage and tourism
experts.
He also explained that the initial steps for performing
the project have been started. For the performing of the
project the member countries have been asked to cooperate
with Iran by introducing their experts in this respect.
“Based on our agreements, the data processing is
supposed to get completed by the next conference, and the
result to be announced,” says Ahmadi.
The 13th assembly of member countries will be held in
2007, and Iran can gather the data about the experts of
the Cultural Heritage and Tourism experts of Asia-Pacific
region within the following two years.
