World’s first animation which was discovered in a
porcelain jar in the ’Burnt City’ (Shahr-e Sukhte) in
the southern Iranian province of Sistan-Baluchestan will
be introduced as a logo for the International Animated
Film Association (ASIFA).
The animation depicts a wild goat (Capra Aegagrus also known as 'Persian
desert Ibex') which is jumping to reach a tree. This
animation shows how ancient Iranians put their ideas into picture,
Pars news agency said.
ASIFA Managing Director Kamyab Darvishi noted that porcelain served
as a painting canvas in ancient world. Ancient artists used
porcelains to express their ideas and depict events taking place in
