Neolithic
Remains Found in Semnan

Archaeologists found remains of animals in Semnan
province in central Iran, dating back to eight thousand years ago.
Archaeological researchers have found remains of animals and metal wares
belonging to neolithic era in Dehkheir, a historical site near Shahroud,
Semnan province.
According to Rezvani, the head of the search team, a collection of
relics comprising flint-stone blades used to build sycles, bone-made
needles laying next to flat clay/stones circular objects with a hole
inside were unearthed during the operation.
Remains from neolithical era has never been registered in eastern parts
of central palteau in Iran, Rezvani said.
