LONDON, (CAIS) -- The historical monuments damaged in the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war have been studied and the information gathered has been documented in 20 volumes, the Persian service of CHN reported on Monday.
This
is the first time comprehensive data have been compiled on the damaged
monuments. The
director of the Research Center of Monuments of the Cultural Heritage and
Tourism Organization (CHTO) said that the collected data will help Mohammad
Mohebali added that the research was carried out in twelve provinces of southern
and western He
explained that renovation of the monuments would be completed based on the
collected information. He also said he believes that Iranian and International experts will find the documents collected in the research project very useful.
