SOUDAVAR MEMORIAL LECTURE SERIES
The Idea of Iran: the early Sasanian period

Following the success of the first and second series on 'The Idea of Iran', we are pleased to announce the third series of lectures which will be held as a one day symposium.  Contributions by six eminent scholars will cover aspects of the early to mid-Sasanian period in Iran:

Yuri Stoyanov, Research Fellow, Council for British Research in the Levant, Jerusalem
Interrelations between Iranian religious traditions and Christian heterodoxy in the late Parthian and early Sasanian period

Dietrich Huff, German Archaeological Institute, Eurasia Dept. Berlin
The plan of the city of Ardashir Khorreh and Ardashir Papakan's state ideology

Admission 15.00 GBP, LMEI Affiliates and conc. 10.00 GBP to include lunch and refreshments.  Students free.  Organised by the London Middle East Institute and the British Museum with the support of the Soudavar Memorial Foundation.
